Steve commenced employment with the business on the 12th of February 1973, and yesterday marked an incredible 53 years of dedicated service to the Blacklocks Ford business. Reaching 53 years with one organisation is an extraordinary achievement in any industry, and it speaks volumes about Steve’s character, loyalty, and commitment.

Steve has always been a true company man. His passion and pride for the Ford brand and the Blacklocks business have been nothing short of inspiring. His passion, work ethic, and unwavering commitment to both the Ford brand and our business are second to none.

To put his tenure into perspective, when Steve began with us in 1973:

• Petrol was just 10 cents per litre
• A loaf of bread cost 20 cents
• It was $3.30 to go to the movies
• And Crocodile Rock and Killing Me Softly were topping the music charts

Over more than five decades, Steve has witnessed enormous change within our industry, our brand, and our business and through it all, his dedication has never wavered.

We sincerely thank Steve for his extraordinary commitment and contribution to the business throughout his tenure. His impact on Blacklocks Ford and the many people he has worked with over the years will not be forgotten.
